West Bloomfield has been voted one of the United States highest incomes per capita in areas with a population of at least 50,000. The median household income in West Bloomfield for 2012 was $93,790, roughly twice the median household income of the entire state. The demographic break down in West Bloomfield is roughly 79.1% Caucasian, 9.4% Asian, 8.5% Black, 1.2% Hispanic and less than 1% each for other races and more than one race. The average resident of West Bloomfield is slightly older than the average Michigander at over 40 years-old.
