The Village of Orchard Lake inhabits less than three thousand residents, resulting in a split educational system.  For students that belong to the public school system, their county determines whether or not the child attends the West Bloomfield School District or Walled Lake Consolidated Schools.  Additional schools located in Orchard Lake, such as St. Mary’s Preparatory and SS. Cyril and Methodius Seminary, are private schools.  St. Mary’s is an esteemed all-men Catholic high school known for its strong relations with religion, discipline, education, as well as sports.  SS. Cyril and Methodius Seminary is a Polish Seminary that prepares men to become priests and deacons of the Catholic church.  Although these schools teach separately, both share the campus of Orchard Lake St. Mary’s.
