Meridian Farmers Market
One of more popular attractions in Okemos is the Meridian Farmers Market. This market is located inFarmers_Market-1 the Central Park Pavilion in Okemos and meets from July to October. The Market is open every Wednesday and Saturday from 8am-2pm.




Meridian Mall

Meridian_Mall_Side_Entrance-Okemos,_MichiganThe Meridian Mall opened in Okemos in 1969. It is home to over 125 stores and is the largest mall in the greater Lansing area.




Meridian Historical Village

The Meridian Historical Village, established in 1974 is located in Central Park in Okemos. It contains meridian historical villagebuildings relocated from other locations that are restored to their 19th century style. The Meridian Historical Village is home to the 19th century version of a general store, log cabin, farmhouse and one room schoolhouse. The Meridian Historical Village offers several annual events such as summer camps for children, the Meridian Heritage Festival, lecture series and “Be a Tourist in Your Own Town.” According to their website, The Village Buildings are open to the public every Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm from May through October, or by appointment.  The Village is located in a public park, and visitors are welcome in the park anytime.

Nokomis Learning Center

nokomis-learning-center-50b115ad1d45e028a80004f0Nokomis Learning Center is a native American cultural learning center located in the Meridian Historical Village in Okemos. This center focuses on the Three Fires People of Michigan and features art and different exhibits.
