Introduction to Caledonia

Caledonia, Michigan is located in the southwest of Michigan, about 20 minutes south of Grand Rapids, Michigan.  It got its start from a inn that housed travelers on their way in between the larger cities of Kalamazoo and Grand Rapids and has grown into a thriving community.  Today it is home to 12,332 people (“Census”) and a number of small businesses such as local ice cream shops and pizzerias.  The Caledonia Township has a size of 35.8 square miles (“Caledonia Township”.  Caledonia Village, located inside the township, has a population of 1,557 and has a size of 1.35 square miles (City Data).
