Marysville is a “little” city of about 10,000 people located at the base of the thumb of Michigan. The city is located in St. Clair County. The city resides on the western shore of the St. Clair River and just a stone throw away across the river is Corunna, Ontario, Canada.
I’m one of those ten thousands people who are lucky to call Marysville, Michigan home. My parents were just newly married when the decided to make this city their home. My father being from the city of Port Huron and my mother being from Kimball Township, they wanted to find a quiet city where they could settle down and start a family. Marysville was that perfect city for them. It is just a slice of heaven. The city perfect to live, work, and play.
My parents moved into this home in 1991. I wasn’t even born yet when they moved in but my brother was. We lived here till I attended in kindergarten in 1998.
This was the next house we lived in which happens to be across the street from the old house. My grandfather came over when my parents just bought the house and said, “You are moving today”! So my whole neighborhood came over and helped us move from one house to the other. This is the house my parents are currently living in but hopefully soon they will move into a condo by the river.
