Northville Community Events
In addition to the annual festivals held in Mill Race Village, visitors and locals of Northville can experience other community events throughout the year.
A weekly farmers market is held in Downtown Northville from May through October. There are over 100 stalls featuring Michigan-made and Michigan-grown products. Some of them items visitors can purchase include garden art, soaps, fresh produce, jewelry, woodwork, and home accessories. There is also a monthly event called “Chefs at the Market” which features local chefs offering free reciepes and cooking demonstrations. Another monthly event at the farmers market is the “Master Gardeners” series. Local expert gardeners are available to answer any gardening questions for visitors.
First Friday Experience
On the first Friday of every month the merchants of Downtown Northville come together to display their products and services. Featured artists, trunk shows, demonstrations, and specialty product are presented in the many galleries in Downtown Northville. Local restaurants cater the gallies and offer free hors d’oeuvre and wine tasting to guests.
Summer Friday Night Concerts
Every Friday June through August visitors to Downtown Northville are able to attend free concerts in the Town Square. A variety of local rock, R & B, blues, and jazz musicians perform while visitors can eat, dance or just relax. The following is a video by the Gia Warner Band performing at the Summer Friday Night Concert series in 2013.
