Education In Frankfort
The Frankfort-Elberta Area School District travels the coastline of Lake Michigan. Between this district Frankfort Elementary and Frankfort High School hold 474 students as of the 2014-2015 school year. The schools were established in 1976 and continue to be successful today.
Adding to the exceptional MEAP scores, “Frankfort Elementary was recognized by the State of Michigan as a school that is “Beating the Odds”.” (Frankfort-Elberta School District.) Although Frankfort-Elberta School district may be small in size, it makes up for it by having a unique location where student are able to visit historical sites such as the Glen Haven Maritime Museum as well the Frankfort Lighthouse.
