Before East Lansing was a city, and before MSU became a University, there was Collegeville. In telling the history of East Lansing in is undoubtedly important to recognize the MSU and its accomplishments. Without the idea for an agricultural college, there would be know East Lansing. But, as the school grew, the town developed as well and became a city, and transformed into thriving community.
