Holland’s downtown has been in the same location since the first years it was settled by Rev. Van Raalte and his people. In the past few decades it has seen some major improvements (thanks in part to Ed and Elsa Prince’s donations and visions) that give it a nice small town feel with a lot of quality stores and attractions near it. The diverse make-up of Downtown has given it a lot of popularity recently with things to do every night of the week. During the summer months there are weekly street performers located throughout downtown to provide entertainment while people are in the city. An assortment of brewery’s have opened up with the recent microbrew popularity within West Michigan.
