Welcome to the Village of Dexter, Michigan! Nestled just north of Ann Arbor, Dexter is a small town of roughly 4,000 people that was founded in 1824 by Samuel W. Dexter. The village is full of historic landmarks and businesses; from the Cider Mill to the old one way tunnel, and everywhere in between! People from all walks of life have called this simple village home, whether they be a common farmer, respected soldier, or even a president’s brother. Also, as of November 20th, 2014 the Village of Dexter has officially become the City of Dexter, thanks to a new voter-approved charter that was accepted by the State of Michigan.
