City of Rochester Hills

“Historic, Distinctive, Progressive”

Created in 1984, Rochester Hills is home to approximately 70,000 people, and is made up of 32.2 square miles of land in eastern Oakland County, one of the nations top five wealthiest counties. The city has won multiple awards, including being named one of the “Top 10 Places to Live in America,” because of its safety, good schools, and strong economy. The city, derived from Avon Township, has a rich history, as well as a promising future. Today, the Rochester Hills community is thriving. With successful k-12 and secondary schooling options, the district is well educated. The city also contains multiple historic sites full of character, such as the nationally recognized, Meadow Brook Mansion and Van Hoosen Farm. There is never a dull moment in Rochester Hills. With downtown Rochester just down the road, activities are occurring all year round- rain, shine, or snow. Not only is Rochester Hills full of excitement and innovations, but has also been home to my family- the Berns family- for generations. With such great history, community, and character, anyone would be lucky to call Rochester Hills their home.
